Personal Fitness Training

Four Seasons Health and Fitness offers programs for every stage of life. From young adult to senior, and from competitive athlete to any special need (such as overweight, obese, or pre-existing medical condition), we will create a program to help you reach your highest fitness potential in the safest, fastest way possible.

Private personal training:

Private sessions are available in two formats: 1 hour and 1-1/2 hours.

The 1 hour format is ideal for athletes and/or people already in good shape, who want a focused and intense training session. This format typically includes a 5 minute check-in, 10 minute warm-up, and 40 minute work out. (55 minutes total)

The 1-1/2 hour format is ideal for people who are out-of-shape, overweight, or have chronic medical conditions, who need a less intense, slower paced work out, and/or require additional educational, behavioral, and nutritional support. This longer format allows for maximum flexibility and typically includes a 10 minute check-in and behavioral strategizing session, 20 minute educational session (exercise fundamentals, nutrition and meal planning), 20 minute warm-up, and 35 minute work out. (85 minutes total)

Most clients experience the best results by attending two training sessions per week.

Program Recommendations:

Fit for Life Weight Loss (specific programs for adults, people with pre-existing medical conditions, and for adolescents/teens)
Choose 1-1/2 hour format; 20 session package; twice-a-week for 10 weeks

Losing weight and keeping it off takes more than a diet or a gym membership; it takes an itegrated approach to nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle. Our scientifically-based Fit for Life rogram offers the one combination proven to succeed: Fitness, Nutrition, Lifestyle Coaching, Behavior Modification, and Health Education.

In addition to “fitness fundamentals,” emphasis is placed on developing life-long strategies to incorporate physical activity into daily life and is individually tailored to meet your specific weight and fitness goals. The 85-minute format provides adequate time to investigate behavioral barriers, develop healthy eating habits, learn meal planning techniques, and make fitness a regular part of your lifestyle.

Fitness Fundamentals
Choose 1 hour format; 6 session package; twice a week for 3 weeks

This 3-week program covers “the basics”: warm-up, cardio, strength, and nutrition. By the end of the course, you will have a basic work-out and nutrition program that you can self-administer—without special equipment.

This program is perfect for the “do-it-yourself” type and for those who want a customized, “personal trainer” program for a minimal investment. Additional sessions can be booked on an hourly basis to review progress and to modify and expand your program when you’re ready for more.

Fitness/Exercise Program Design
Choose 1 hour "off-site" format; 6 session package; twice a week for 3 weeks

We will meet you at your home or office gym and design an individualized exercise program based on your gym's layout and equipment, your fitness goals, and your current skill level, from novice to advanced. We'll then provide a ten-week "periodized program" for you to self-administer, and train you on how to use your equipment—both safely and effectively.

This program is perfect for people who have a new home gym, or those who want to take their workouts to the next level. Additional sessions can be booked on an hourly basis to review progress and to modify and expand your program when you’re ready for more.

Return to Wellness
Choose 1-1/2 hour format; 10 session package; twice-a-week for 5 weeks

Our Return to Wellness program is designed to improve cardiorespiratory capacity, muscular endurance, strength and power, and joint and muscle flexibility. It is perfect for those wishing to “re-engage” with physical activity after a long period of inactivity, and for those recovering from a physical injury or illness.

In addition to “fitness fundamentals,” emphasis is placed on developing life-long strategies to incorporate physical activity into daily life, tailoring the program to meet specific health needs, and covering advanced nutritional requirements. At the end of 5 weeks you will have all the tools necessary to maintain fitness for life.

Sports Conditioning for the Young Athlete
Choose 1 hour format; 20 session package; twice-a-week for 10 weeks

An 10-week program designed for the young athlete. The program’s focus is on sport-specific skill set development, maximizing athletic performance, and preventing and rehabilitating sports-related injuries.

By the end of the course, he/she will have a complete, sport-specific work-out and nutrition program to follow. The young athlete will also understand the fundamentals of: 1.) sports nutrition for optimizing athletic performance; 2.) the role of supplementation in optimizing nutrition; and 3.) using “periodized training” for maximizing sports performance.

Additional sessions can be booked on an hourly basis to take your training to the next level.

Sports Conditioning for the Aging Athlete
Choose 1 hour format; 20 session package; twice-a-week for 10 weeks

If age is taking its toll on your game (golf, tennis, basketball or other) this program is for you! The 10-week course is designed specifically for those aged 50 and up who want to improve their sports performance by addressing the biomechanical and physiological requirements of the human body as we age. The goal is to improve your physical performance while reducing your chance for injury.

By the end of 10 weeks you will have a complete, sport-specific work-out and nutrition program you can self-administer. You will understand your body’s nutritional requirements for optimal performance. Sport-specific skill set development designed to promote greater muscular endurance, strength, and power is part of every session.
