Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Where do you work with your clients?A: My home studio is in the Avery Park neighborhood of Fort Collins. It offers a private, relaxing, non-gymlike environment in which to work, similar in feel to a yoga or dance studio in a garden setting. If you would rather that I come to your home, please contact me for details. Q: What are your hours?A: I schedule sessions according to your needs, but I do so by ongoing appointment only, meaning that we’ll need to find a mutually convenient time slot that works for us both. Since I have a “first come, first scheduled” policy, those who sign-up first with me will get their choice of time slots. Please note that I don’t see clients on Sunday, and clients are never permitted to just drop by my studio. In other words, I am not running a drop-in gym. Q: Do I need to get a doctor’s clearance before starting a program?A: Your safety is very important to me. Therefore, during the initial consultation, I will screen clients for medical risks and require that some of them provide me with a Physician's Approval form before proceeding. For others, whom I identify to be a "low health risk" individual, I will give the option to either provide me with a Physician's Approval form or to sign a Release Agreement form. Q: You mentioned an “initial consultation.” Is there a charge for that?A: No. The initial consultation is free. We can conduct this on the phone, or you can visit me at my home studio. Q: What payment options do I have?A: You may pay with cash, personal check, Visa or MasterCard. Q: What happens if I find that I don’t like working with you?A: Finding the right personal trainer is a very subjective process, kind of like finding the right dentist. I am happy to meet with you for a no-obligation consultation so we can discuss your needs. After that meeting, if you still have doubts, I recommend that you start by purchasing one session before committing to a multi-session contract. This will ensure that you are comfortable with my approach to health and fitness. Q: I want to move forward. What’s the next step?A: Give me a call or e-mail me. We can briefly discuss your specific needs and then set up your free consultation. In the meantime, take a look at the other pages of this Web site to get an even better idea of how I may be able to help you. |
